The TicWatch C2 is the latest addition to its range and it’s a notable upgrade to the original TicWatch Classic with a refreshed design and a bunch of new features. Price and performance-wise it fills the gap between the cheaper TicWatch E and S models and the more advanced and expensive TicWatch Pro. Mobvoi has made a real effort to dominate the affordable Wear OS smartwatch market with options that don’t skimp on features. The Ticwatch E, Ticwatch S, and the more luxurious-looking TicWatch Pro all delivered on this premise.

The upper body is made of stainless steel and the straps are of premium-like leather. Although the lower body is made up of cheap looking plastic, it is barely recognizable while wearing it. It has the length and breadth of 42.83 x 42.83 mm. The thickness depends on the color variant chosen.
It is available in the following colors:
- Onyx Black – It has a black stainless steel body along with a black leather strap. The main body has a thickness of 13.1 mm and the strap of 20 mm.
- Platinum Grey – It has a silver body having 13.1 mm thickness and comes with a grey leather strap of 20 mm thickness.
- Rose Gold – This variant has a rose-colored stainless steel body and comes with a cream colored leather strap. It has a slightly thinner appearance with the main body having 12.8 mm thickness and the strap having an 18 mm one.
All models of the TicWatch C2 come with a leather strap as standard and feature a circular 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 – the same as the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
The C2 has NFC for payments through Google Pay and GPS for tracking your outdoor runs without needing a smartphone with you. Mobvoi is claiming 36 hours of battery life, although this will vary depending on GPS use, and there is a heart rate monitor.
There is also an IP68 rating to make sure the watch isn’t damaged by rain and dirt, and a wide range of customizable watch faces to pick from. Being a Wear OS device, the TicWatch works with both iOS and Android smartphones.
The fact that you mainly change the design here, you can see the obligatory look inside. Also in the Ticwatch C2 tinkers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 CPU, which is interesting so far only in the Ticwatch Pro infected. Interesting because theoretically, it offers the same performance as the manufacturer’s top model. The cheaper Ticwatch E works with a MediaTek processor. Although the SD3100 has already been introduced, so far it is only in the more expensive models on the market.
Ticwatch conceals the size of the built-in memory, but conceivable is 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The battery is 400 mAh slightly larger than the Ticwatch 2 and should provide for a running time of 36 hours – that sounds realistic.
On the internal memory, Mobvoi also decides to equip this smartwatch with WearOS. Google’s smartwatch operating system is probably the most popular smartwatch OS with WatchOS. And it brings the classic Android advantage: a variety of apps. Whether Uber, Spotify, Strava or Google Maps, with the Ticwatch C2 you get a lot. Therefore, it makes sense, especially in connection with Strava or Google Fit, that the C2 is equipped with GPS, a gyro sensor and a heart rate monitor.
The Ticwatch C2 is actually almost just a visually something “fancier” smartwatch than, say, Ticwatch E. There is a little more power with the not so new Snapdragon processor. You can pay for that with a small surcharge. If that is worth the price, you can probably access, alternatively, the Tic watch E is the cheaper choice.
