Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 at $35.69: Affordable Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds

Recently, Meizu launched a new crowdfunding campaign for its pioneer button-less smartphone, namely the Meizu Zero. Unfortunately, it didn’t reach the goal set by the company. If you are not aware, it was an amazing handset with no holes and buttons. Thus, it’s completely water- and dustproof. Also, this means it sports a unibody design, which adds durability to the phone. However, the failed crowdfunding project simply means users are not ready for such a product. In some sense, this was expected because there are ‘fierce’ discussions between smartphone users whether the 3.5mm audio jack should be removed or not. In fact, there are many reasons why it’s an outdated interface. But we’ll point out only one of them – this port is used for one purpose only, that is, to connect the earphones. On the other hand, many flagships models come with a USB Type-C port that combines the options of charging and connecting the earphones. It’s quite useful. But we should also note when charging we can’t plug the headphones through the traditional headphone jack. For all these cases, we recommend using Bluetooth headphones. Of course, they have their disadvantages too. Say, they have batteries and can provide a certain worktime on a single charge. But if choosing the right earphone, you will never face the problems mentioned above. Moreover, among the variety of Bluetooth headphones, there are earbuds that won’t occupy much space. The one we are going to talk about today belongs to this category. Meet the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2, which is an affordable wireless earphone with great features and a flagship-like performance.

Design and Build Quality

In fact, almost all the Bluetooth earbuds come with an identical design. At first sight, they look a bit bigger but when taking in hands, we find out how lightweight they are. Such an appearance ensures a firm fit, which will allow the users to do sports without worrying about falling off. Each earbud comes with a press-able button on the outer side. They implement various operations such as turning on, pairing, answering calls, go to the next track, and turning off (long press). On the inner side, we can see two connectors for charging.

However, these are sports earbuds. This simply means the company has paid special attention to the grip on the ear. Moreover, besides the earpads that are on the product by default, we can find two other options inside the box. Choose any that fits your year best!

Once again, we are dealing with sports headphones. This simply means they should be protected from splashing water and dust. Fortunately, the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 comes with an IPX5 waterproof rating. Shortly, you can continue using these headphones even during running. We mean the performance won’t be affected if your sweat or run under the rain.

Connectivity

We are dealing with full-featured wireless Bluetooth earbuds. This means the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 can connect smartphones, tablets, or any device that supports Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 and there is no difference what mobile OS your handset runs on – Android or iOS.

Due to Bluetooth 5.0, it can connect the paired device even being in a distance of 10m. As for the connection, the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 will automatically connect to the last connected sound source.

Performance

The Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 comes with two different sets of LED color to display different scenarios – blue and white. The former color flashes while waiting for a connection. The white color flashes when the headphones are discharged and at the time of charging in the case.

The blue color also flashes while charging the device in the charging case. It’s very simple when it flashes four times 75% -100%, 3 times – 50% -75%, 2 times 25% -50%, 1 time 0% -25% battery is charged.

However, we are dealing with a headphone, which means it should be able to provide good sound quality. First, the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 provides quite acceptable music quality if taking into account its price range. But we have to also point out its sound volume is slightly less when compared with the quality of music to the AirPods. In Airpods, you can really make the music very loud. Unfortunately, the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2 doesn’t come with any application to adjust the equalizers in the headphones themselves.

Both earbuds come with a built-in microphone. So you always have a choice to wear only the left or right separately, or both of them if you want. There is no complain about the speakers’ sound quality, even if you use the headphones in a hood.

These earbuds come with a case that also serves as a charging base. The earbuds themselves can provide up to 2.5 hours of battery life. Plus, you can charge them through the case that will add other 10 hours to its worktime. Also, they support fast charge. So leave them in the case for 15 minutes and you will get 1.5 hours of play time.

Conclusion

So what we can say about the Blitzwolf BW-FYE2? It’s an affordable wireless headphone that will meet most of your needs. But it’s naïve to compare with the top-end products that cost a few hundred dollars. On the other hand, for $35.99, you will get your hands on Bluetooth earbuds that support the latest Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, adopt a stylish look, have many useful functions, and provide acceptable sound performance. Thus, it’s for those who are not buying headphones to enjoy every note when listening to music but for those who want to listen to their own tracklist when doing sport or the like.
