BlackView Ultra Plus : The perfect iPhone 6S Clone

IMG_9991

We all know the iPhone. We also know that there have been many clones for each and every iPhone released. However, they were either cheaply built, lagy or just downright obnoxious. Here comes BlackView, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, with the a clone dubbed BlackView Ultra Plus that looks and feels like perfection.

BlackView’s Ultra Plus is a larger version of the company’s ‘Ultra’ phone which was released in the first quarter of 2015, and as the name suggests it’s a larger version with a design which is stunningly similar to the iPhone 6S Plus, Apple’s current flagship smartphone.

Photos and specs of the BlackView Ultra Pro reveal a pink alloy housing around witch the phone is built, and has a white front glass, with a physical home button, similar to the iPhone counterpart. However the home button does not appear to be a finger print scanner, which might be a decision by BlackView to keep the cost relatively low. Which is a very concious decision by BlackView, since making the phone pricey could result in catastrophic sales reports as there are other clones out there, manufactured in China, which would be a lot cheaper for the end consumer.

Right above the home button is the 5.5-Inch 1280×720 HD Display, with 2.5D curved glass on top. The phone is powered by the MediaTek MTK6735P chipset, and 2-GB RAM with 16-GB or Internal storage with a Micro-SD card slot which can accept upto 32-GB Cards. The phone will be running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, with a slight skin on top to make it look like Apple’s iOS.

While the phone is 7.8-mm thick, BlackView has managed to cram in a large 3180mAh battery inside it. The phone uses a 13-MP Sony IMX164 Sensor on the back and a 5-MP selfie camera on the front, which is again, very interesting considering how thin the phone is.

BlackView has posted the full details and specs of the Ultra Plus on their website, where they have mentioned that the phone will be available in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, Stardust Gray and Voilet Black. Seems like BlackView is going all the way to clone the iPhone so as to name all the color variants after Apple’s nomenclature.

The Phone is priced at $149.99, and can be bought from AliExpress starting 13th January 2016.
