Attention Samsung Users! Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge officially upgraded to Android 6.0.1

The Samsung’s latest flagship killer ‘Samsung Galaxy S6 series’ for nearly an year was running on Android Lollipop (v 5.1). But thank god, the trend was broken. After a period of testing, the Samsung officially launched an upgrade to Android Marshmallow (v6.0.1) for the S6 flagship. This upgrade was done faster than we expected. The release follows a brief beta test program in which the users were allowed to sign up to test the beta Marshmallow firmware.

It is good to hear that Samsung rather than upgrading to simple Android 6.0 (contained some bugs), directly went to the latest upgrade Android 6.0.1 (bugs fixed). Korea ushered in the first update of the local operator SK Telecom version of SM-G920S, SM-G925S , while others will be available in few days. No doubt, it was a major update, as the volume data reached a massive amount of 1.55 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Upgrades

As far as the other terminals of Samsung are concerned (Galaxy S6 Edge +, Galaxy Note 5), we need to have some patience, as the upgrade is not provided yet. The question which comes in our mind is that this upgrade to Android Marshmallow is fully compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S6 terminals or not? Does this upgrade brings some new bugs and compatibility issues? For that, we have to wait and see.
