The Amazfit GTR 42mm comes in many styles and two sizes and may even be different in material. The smaller is a better choice for those with smaller wrists and for women who have arrived specifically for women. This is a overview of the Amazfit GTR 42mm.
Design & Appearance
The black is made of aluminum alloy, while the others are unknown, but probably they are. They weigh 25g without the strap (come with a silicone strap at the factory). Does the 42mm version have a 1.2? AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 * 390 pixels. So the display is no problem, its resolution is quite high and coarse, producing a detailed, beautiful picture and protected by Gorilla Glass. Anyway, there are over a hundred watch faces to choose from and there will certainly be unique watch faces. Always on (AOD) is a feature that allows a small part of the display to remain on at all times. For example, it only shows time in the form of digits, with very low brightness, so it doesn’t drain the battery quickly.
Models are quite alike in terms of functionality. They are equipped with NFC modules and support the AliPay payment system, as well as GPS / GLONASS receiver, barometer, heart rate sensor. The watch has 5 ATM water protection (that means you may swim with the watch, but cannot dive). The developers have focused on autonomy in this watch. Reportedly, the power consumption of the device in standby mode during the day was reduced by 82.6%, and the daily power consumption was almost halved by 48.7%. The declared autonomy of the younger version is up to 30 days, the older one – 74 days! But, to achieve these indicators the user will have to sacrifice Bluetooth, GPS and heart rate sensor usage. If you use your watch as usual, with sleep monitoring, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS, then the older version may work for 24 days.
Amazfit uses a proprietary system, so it is not powered by WearOS or Android. Nonetheless, it is a very pleasant solution with many settings and customization options. It comes with a mobile app that lets you use some features more efficiently, and gives you more insight into statistics. It has built-in GPS, so you can accurately measure the distance you travel without using a cell phone. When fully charged, the manufacturer claims 40 hours of continuous GPS use, which is a good value. Powered by a 195 mAh battery, the manufacturer says 12 days of use is possible, assuming average usage.
