Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Buds 4 Active wireless earbuds to the global market, expanding their availability beyond China. The latest addition to the Redmi earbuds lineup brings several enhancements compared to its predecessor, the Redmi Buds 4.
Specifications
One notable improvement in the Buds 4 Active is the upgrade to 12mm drivers, providing better audio quality compared to the 10mm drivers in the previous model. It offers active noise cancellation and normal modes instead. Additionally, this earbuds have an IPX4 water resistance certification, whereas the Buds 4 boasts an IPX5 dust and water resistance rating.
In terms of design, the Redmi Buds 4 Active features larger earbuds and a more rounded charging case than the original model. With the charging case, it offers up to 28 hours of usage, while the earbuds alone provide approximately 5 hours of playback on a single charge.
The Buds 4 Active supports rapid charging, allowing for 2 hours of listening time with just 10 minutes of charging. It is equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and supports Google Fast Pair. The earbuds come with various touch controls, including double tap, triple tap, and press and hold, enabling functions like music playback control, call management, and activating low latency mode.
Weighing a total of 42g along with its charging case, the Redmi Buds 4 Active houses a 440mAh battery. The earbuds support only the SBC codec and are currently available in black color exclusively on the Xiaomi website.
