iQOO is preparing for the release of the Z7 5G in India, which will come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, an AMOLED display, and a dual-camera setup featuring a 64MP sensor. The company has confirmed the launch of two new mid-range smartphones under the Z7 series in China on March 20. On the other hand, iQOO has officially announced several important specifications of the Z-series phones in China. Here’s what we know about the iQOO Z7 series, including its design, features, and other details.
The design of the upcoming smartphones has been verified by the company. Both devices feature a curved back panel and a slightly flat frame. The Z7X model, expected to debut in blue, comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Z7 variant will be released in an orange hue.
On the back of both phones, a large rectangular camera module is present, housing a dual-camera setup. The primary camera on both devices will be equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) support.
The company has confirmed that the Z7 series will support 120W fast charging, in addition to its design. However, it’s expected that only the Z7 5G will feature this faster-charging technology, while the Z7x will have support for 80W fast charging according to a recent 3C listing. Past leaks suggest that the Z7 5G may come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782 SoC, which is likely to be an incremental upgrade over the Snapdragon 778G SoC given its nomenclature.
Other Specifications
According to reports, the Chinese version of the Z7 5G is anticipated to include a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it could be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and a 50MP primary camera.
