Meizu, a Chinese phone manufacturer, is reportedly gearing up to launch its flagship Meizu 20 series this Spring. A live image of the Meizu 20 Pro, which looks impressive, has already surfaced.

Meizu 20 Pro New Render

The Digital Chat Station insider has shared the first official render exclusively for the Meizu 20 Pro. The image shows the device in almost full size, presenting a hybrid design inspired by Samsung Galaxy S23 and iPhone 14 Pro’s steel flat edges. The device can be seen in grey color.

The front of the phone features an ultra-thin frame that’s nearly imperceptible without the aid of a photo editor. Placed in the center is a single front camera within a hole, and on the right side there is a volume rocker and a power button. On the back, it features a row of four “holes,” with three camera sensors, and the fourth housing laser autofocus with a ring flash. This rendered design closely resembles its patent.

Specifications

There are not many details available about the device, but it is rumored that suggest it may feature a Super AMOLED panel ranging from 6.2 inches to 6.7 inches with Quad HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass protection. Meizu 20 Pro is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset by Qualcomm, which is a 4nm SoC manufactured by TSMC.

The chipset will have a Kryo octa-core CPU (1 x 3.2GHz X3 + 4 x 2.8GHz A715/A710 + 3 x 2.0GHz A510) and Adreno 740 GPU, alongside a minimum of 12GB of RAM LPDDR5X and 256/512GB of non-expandable UFS 4.0 memory, making it a top-of-the-line device in terms of specifications.

The battery information is still unknown, but previous models had varying capacities of 4000 and 4500mAh. This new model will also feature an upgraded quick charge of 80W and wireless charging at 40W.

The Meizu 20 Pro model is set to feature upgraded camera sensors, including a “darkvision” option on the photo form. With the added benefit of optical stabilization OIS, the phone will likely join the ranks of the latest smartphones equipped with the Sony IMX989 1.0″-type sensor, which is also present in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Regarding software, it is highly anticipated that Android 13 will come along with Flyme 10, which could also introduce the new system Flyme for Car. Recall, the premiere of the Meizu 20 series is expected in March.
