Realme GT Neo 5 Will Get a Sony IMX 890 50MP With OIS

Realme has officially confirmed that its newest product, the Realme GT Neo 5, will be launched in China on February 9, 2023. Sunday and Lantern Day in China, the company decided to celebrate with a teaser of the flagship camera.

So, it is confirmed that the hit 50MP Sony IMX890 will act as the main GT Neo 5. It will have optical image stabilization, Turbo RAW mode, computational photography, and that’s about it.

Official images have previously confirmed that the main module will include three lenses, but nothing on other cameras yet. At the output, we will get 8MP wide, and 2MP macro sensors will also have the company’s first infrared sensor. In addition, according to the published launch images, there will be RGB lights next to the rear cameras.

Realme GT Neo 5 with two different options with different charging speeds

As previously reported, the Realme GT Neo 5, which is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, will be released in two different options. The sub-model will have a 5000mAh battery with 150W fast charging technology. The model with 240W fast charging support is said to have a 4600mAh battery.

It’s starting to sound like a gaming phone, and we recently learned that it will bring high-end features, such as a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2772 × 1240 pixels and 1.5K resolution and this screen with a 144Hz refresh rate will support 2160Hz PWM dimming.

At the heart of Realme GT Neo 5 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor. This is not the latest Qualcomm SoC for Android flagships, but it still offers very high performance. The chip will be supported by up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. On the other hand, we expect 128, 256, or 512GB of space in the form of UFS 3.1 bones for data.

It has an optical fingerprint sensor and a 16MP dot-notch selfie camera, weighing approximately 199 grams and having an NFC chip. The Realme GT Neo 5 is also said to run on Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is expected to debut on February 9 in China, while the global launch could take place on MWC 2023 at the end of the month.
