Launch of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G in India is scheduled for January 5: anticipated features

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will debut on January 5 in India, the company recently declared. The Redmi Note 12 Series of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer was introduced in China back in October. Its products include the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro Plus; a recent teaser by the company suggested that these phones would also be made available in India. Redmi has officially disclosed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will launch on January 5 in India.

Xiaomi, as a brand, has taken the smartphone world by storm ever since its introduction to the market. In terms of market share, Xiaomi smartphones came in third place behind Apple and Samsung in 2021 with 191-million-unit shipments and almost 14% of the global smartphone market. Behind domestic companies Honor, OPPO, and Vivo, Xiaomi has the fifth-highest market share in its home market. The brand has the unique selling points of being affordable while also performing all smartphone functions such as being a dual-core device, can allow you to play your favourite games, shop online, and even be used for entertainment purposes like accessing PayPal betting sites in Australia and all over the world. 

According to a teaser poster the firm posted on Twitter, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will be revealed in India on January 5 of 2019. It is rumoured to have a triple back camera system with a 200-megapixel resolution. Additionally, the company has started to invite journalists over to the event.

Additionally, Xiaomi has created a dedicated landing page on its India website to tease the arrival of the new Redmi Note series handset. However, the listing does not specify the exact launch time of the phone. Customers can select the “Notify Me” option on the website to be informed as soon as fresh details regarding the launch become available.

Anuj Sharma, the chief marketing officer for Xiaomi India, revealed the company’s future plans for the Redmi Note series in India on Friday. According to him, the Redmi Note 12 series would focus on “fewer models,” each of which will “stand tall in its niche.” Xiaomi also disclosed that it has distributed over 200 million mobiles across the nation.

Recall that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G together with the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro were all introduced in China in October. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is available for purchase starting at CNY 2,099, or around Rs. 23,00.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ in China has a 6.67-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixel) OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and runs MIUI 13 on top of it. It is powered by a Mali-G68 GPU, an octa-core 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, and up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM.
