Honor 80 Pro Flat Screen Version Unveiled With 160MP Camera
As scheduled, a presentation of a new version of the Honor 80 Pro smartphone took place in China. Before we saw a version with a curved screen, and today we were shown a model called Honor 80 Pro Flat Screen. The differences between the two smartphones turned out to be quite a lot, and they are not only in the display.
Features and technical specifications
The new version offers a flat 6.67-inch OLED display panel with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, and 1920 Hz PWM dimming. The previously presented version had a curved display panel. The fingerprint reader can be found under the screen.
Like the original Honor 80, the new version also has a 160MP main camera, but also only an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera, while the original has a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth camera. The design of the rear camera in the new model is also similar to the original: the design of the bump forms a stylized number 8.
There is also a difference in the cameras on the front: the flat-screen Honor 80 Pro has only one 32MP camera on the front, while the original includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera.
Otherwise, the Honor 80 Pro Flat Screen version still includes Qualcomm’s last top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset from the previous generation, as well as a 4800mAh battery with support for 66-watt fast charging. The operating system version is still the old Android 12 as part of Honor’s new MagicOS 7.0 software.
The dimensions of the new Honor 80 Pro version are 162.5 x 75.3 x 7.9 mm and the weight is 186 grams. The phone has a glass surface on the back and a plastic frame around the sides.
Price and color options
In China, the price of the Honor 80 Pro Flat Screen version is 3,599 yuan (about 493 euros ) equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There are three different color options – black, green, and pink gradient.
