Last month, the Chinese tech maker Shanling announced the arrival of its latest lossless music player dubbed Shanling M6 Ultra. It is the enhanced variant of the previous DAP models (M6 and M6 Pro) with significant improvements and bolstered performance. Now, the company has announced the M6 Ultra price a few days before the official launch. The device will be released on July 25 for a starting price of 4,798 Yuan while the official price is set at 4,998 Yuan.

Officially, the latest M6 Ultra is the first to adopt a 4DAC architecture since the company is looking to bring the development under the mid-range point benchmark. It features several notable highlights and major changes to the operating system and DAC chip. The portable music player system offers a sleek design and physique with a glossy finish around the chassis. It weighs 263g and measures 127x77x18mm.
The front side hosts a 5” display with the support for 1920x1080p resolution. There is an integration of four AKM AK4493SEQ DAC chips and 32/768 & DSD512 and MQA 16x hi-res support. The processing department gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. One of the key aspects is the availability of Open Android 10 OS in the software area.
In terms of connectivity, the latest Shanling M6 Ultra music player comes with the support for Bluetooth 5.0 (aptX, aptX HD and LDAC, SBC) and 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band WIFI (DLNA and Airplay). Additionally, the unit also boasts 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced mechanisms. The power storage capacity of the DAC is 5,650 mAh and it also supports 18W charging. It promises to deliver up to 13.5 hours of endurance in single-ended and 9 hours in balance.
