OPPO Watch 3 World’s 1st Snapdragon Wear 5 Launches in August

OPPO confirms the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 platform for the OPPO Watch Series 3. There will be more than one version of this 3rd generation watch.

The brand hints at the OPPO Watch 3 release date. With the world’s first Snapdragon Wear 5 technology, this latest Apple watch rival will launch soon in August 2022. Also, a new model of Mobvi TicWatch will debut with the same new Snapdragon W5 platform. However, the OPPO wants to launch its smart watch sooner to raise competition. The TicWatch Pro 4 with the same processor and chipset may offer more at a higher price, but the Watch 3 series by OPPO seem to target budget and expensive smartwatch markets.

OPPO Watch 3 Release Date

The associate vice-president of OPPO and president of IoT Business, Franco Li, asserts that the new Wear 5 technology can raise smart wearable tech to a new level. Li also announced that the OPPO Watch 3 release date is expected in August 2022. This new OPPO smart watch will be the world’s first wearable with the SoC.

Li also hinted about an upgraded ECG edition for the Watch 2 successor. It was a part of his statement during a Digital Chat Station interview. He also pointed out the three different OPPO Watch 3 models.

Other Expectations

However, there are no leaks or updates about the mentioned upgrades for the health tracking attributes for the Watch 3 series. It will surely be exciting for the Apple look-alike watch fans to see these upgrades on a much more affordable smartwatch. On the other hand, the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4 will have several new features and much more expensive value. So, the OPPO Watch 3 series can be a better choice depending on its display, health monitoring, and GPS with sports activity tracking traits.
