Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra New Leaks Show 200MP Main Camera

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with a 200 MP main camera but the sensor will be announced later. The sensor is rumored to be the ISOCELL HP1 which is expected to appear on the Motorola X30 Pro or the Edge 30 Ultra.

Ice Universe has established that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G will sport a 200 MP camera. That sensor currently exists in the form of an ISOCELL sensor—although the one it will have (the HP2) is a mid-range one and hasn’t been announced by Samsung yet.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G 200MP Sensor

The Samsung Galaxy S23 release date could be away for a few months but could come out sporting a 200 MP camera. The leakster, famous for his snippets of information concerning Samsung’s upcoming smartphones, has said that the camera will be the main one. It’s yet to be announced. But the 200 MP handset is rumored to have been in the works for quite some time now. Also, it will use an ISOCELL 200 MP camera produced by the brand, but we do not know which sensor and chipset it features.

There are two 200MP sensors available right now, and both are produced by Samsung, the ISOCELL HP1, and HP3. Moreover, the HP3, a mid-range sensor, is sorted to debut on Motorola’s X30 Pro or Edge 30 Ultra. However, the HP1 will not be the sensor for S23 Ultra confirmed by the leaker. There is no confirmation about the Samsung S23 Ultra price, but it will be around US $1,200 to $1,500.

Predictions Time

While it’s hard to guess what the 200 MP sensor destined for the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be, it will most likely outperform the 1/1.22-inch HP1 on the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra debuted earlier this month with the 1-inch IMX989, and there’s a possibility Samsung delivers a sensor within that ballpark.
