If you want to save files to Android phones, tablets, or copy from these mobile devices, it is usually done through the network, or directly from a microSD card. However, if these Android mobile devices support OTG, they can be used directly through the OTG flash drive, saving more time. The Teamgroup M211 USB OTG Flash Drive has 2 connection interfaces with a reading speed of 150MB/s, namely USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A for connecting to the computer and USB Type-C for connecting to the smartphone. The capacity of this test is 256GB, which is also very small in appearance, so it is easier to carry.

Teamgroup M211 USB OTG Flash Drive is packaged in a simple paper blister with a large TeamGroup logo. The blister has a hanging hole, the most convenient layout in stores. The packaging indicates the model of the flash drive, the connection interface, and the volume of 256 GB. There are also two USB connection types, Type-A and Type-C.
There is nothing interesting on the back of the package, The back shows the basic specifications of the product and the product description in multiple languages, The basic specifications of the product, and the number of files that can be stored in different capacities. This OTG flash drive comes with a Lifetime warranty.
In order to get a flash drive, you need to tear the package from the back, along with specially designated dotted cuts. By the way, for most manufacturers, packaging usually breaks not along these lines at all.
Teamgroup M211 USB OTG Flash Drive adopts a special folding storage design with a new patent, which perfectly solves the problem of missing caps and also protects the USB Type-C connector from damage. On the front side, the manufacturer’s logo and the model are indicated. M211 uses the COB (Chip on Board) assembly technique, the body is waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof for protecting the data it contains.
With a length of only 4 cm and a weight of 5 grams, the M211 USB OTG Flash Drive is tiny, although there are smaller USB sticks. The data carrier has a rotatable plug that offers USB-A on one side and USB-C, which is widespread in current smartphones, on the other. The manufacturer, therefore, speaks of data transfer ” between Android devices, tablets, desktop computers, and Macs “.
Actual Performance & Benchmark Test
Teamgroup M211 USB OTG Flash Drive is connected directly to the USB 3.2 Gen1 port on the back of the motherboard. No adapters or extension cables were used. All tests were carried out on an empty drive. After connecting the flash drive, we immediately look at which file system it is formatted – exFAT with an available capacity of 230GB.
M211 USB OTG Flash Drive is divided into four capacity specifications: 256GB, 128GB, 64GB, 32GB. The official data is that the maximum reading speed is 150MB/s. This time, we tested the 256GB version, and the highest write speed was 150MB/s in the middle.
We also used some well-known Benchmark software for testing: CrystalDisk Mark, TxBench ATTO, DiskBenchmark, and other software to test the theoretical performance of the Teamgroup M211 flash drive.
Using the CrystalDiskMark utility, we check the flash drive for maximum speeds. We get 210.12 MB / s for linear reading and 138.52 MB / s for linear writing. The manufacturer claims a 150MB/s reading speed, respectively. At the same time, we received a random 4K reading of 12.70MB / s, which is enough to use the drive for any task, even for installing games on this flash drive. For a USB product, the write speed of 138MB/s is also considerable. After all, the write speed of most products of the same type on the market is still maintained at the 50-60MB/s level.
After tests in ATTO Disk Benchmark, we get a fairly even speed graph. The maximum read speed was 142.75MB / s, and the maximum write speed was 132.41MB / s. The speeds are almost the same as in CrystalDiskMark.
In the test, AJA Video Systems got 140MB / s for reading and 88MB / s for writing.
To determine the maximum, real write speed, copy a 23GB single file to a USB flash drive and look at the result. We get a maximum speed of 100MB / s, this is a very good result for a flash drive.
And in conclusion, we look at how the flash drive behaves when writing the entire volume, on the test of linear recording in AIDA64. The test results matched what we saw on the tests of the real record.
Overall, the Teamgroup M211 USB OTG Flash Drive has the leading transfer speed among similar products, and the storage specification design of 64GB-256GB is also very suitable for the positioning and application scenarios of the current USB flash drive, and lifetime warranty. The write speed can always be maintained above 100MB/s, which is a very good flash disk read and write level, and also proves the read and write performance and reliability of this flash disks.
Compared with the traditional USB-A interface, the USB-C port has stronger compatibility, in addition to laptops and desktop computers, it can also be connected to smartphones, tablet computers, and other devices. Generally, after inserting the mobile phone, the user can view the file data in the USB flash drive through the file management APP. This is also very suitable for some users who do not have enough storage space on their mobile phones and mind the speed of the cloud disk. It is very suitable to save pictures, high-quality music, and 4K movies with a USB flash drive.
