March 7, 2022, soon after the mid-range smartphone VIVO T1 5G launch last week, here is the first render of the folding smartphone (VIVO X-FOLD) from VIVO. The Digital Chat Station shares the design for the first time from the back of the smartphone. This is the first time VIVO has stepped into the folding smartphone market after Samsung, which launched its three folding models in the last three years. The renders are similar to the Honor Magic V; the folding smartphone launched back in 2021.
About VIVO X-Fold:
The leaks just came across Weibo when there was already news that the Folding smartphone from VIVO might arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. Yet we already have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus processor in the market, but the company has already patented the device.
We might get the 8.03-inch LTPO screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and full HD+ resolution in terms of display. According to the news, and the industry analyst Ross Young, the screen panel for VIVO X-Fold, was already in production since January. The earlier news from foreign media was that the VIVO would launch its folding smartphone with an 8-inch inner and 6.5-inch external display.
From the leaked image of the smartphone, we can see there is no side-mounted fingerprint scanner. So, Xiaomi Today learns that we might get the in-built fingerprint scanner. Also, the hardware configuration of the smartphone will be very high. There are no more details leaked about the VIVO X-Fold yet. So, stay tuned to get more information before the smartphone gets launched.
