Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4: Design & Style

Here we have the Honor band 5 as a successor to the Honor Band 4. I personally loved the Honor Band 4. It feels pretty stiff on the build quality and definitely has a “stylish” design factor to it. The band itself is very standard but the silicone material makes it thin and lights to wear.
In terms of design, there isn’t much of a difference when compared to its predecessor. Just like its predecessor, Honor Band 5 holds the same resemblance. They don’t differ much in the way they are designed as they are pretty much carbon copies of each other. The slender body of the watch feels so light that I couldn’t even feel it on my wrists. The rough texture and the stretchy silicone material helps you to achieve a tighter fit. Further up-front, the band has a large menu-touch button right below the screen with a silver-tone border. It’s being offered in blue, black, green, and pink colours. I really loved the narrow design as a whole.
Which has a better Display? – Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4

Both the Honor Band 4 and Honor Band 5 sports a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen display and also a 2.5D glass as a coat on the top of the display screen. But the Honor Band 5 along with the 0.95-inch AMOLED display, the User Interface dynamics is better than the predecessor. The AMOLED display contains 240*120 pixels which some people feel its too lean but the screen is highly responsive. The clock is not always displayed, which means that the screen is black, you have to bring your hang up into the ‘viewing position’ for the clock to turn on.
At extremely bright outdoors, the highest range of brightness is enough for visibility of the display screen. While the Honor Band 4 displayed only the message notifications, the Honor Band 5 displays stranger calls with intelligent identification on the screen, which is a big upgrade on the new version for the Honor Band 5.

Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4: Comparing Fitness Features
The ultimate metric that you should consider in this comparison of the Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4 should be their performance as a “Fitness Tracker”. As that defines the sole purpose of their existence. For me, a good smartband is more than just counting the number of steps or measuring your heart rate. It should be intelligent enough to suggest you eat better or even suggest you sleep better. The Honor Band 5 goes one step ahead of the Honor Band 4 or even the Mi Band 4 with its blood oxygen level monitor.
In more technical terminology, it is the all-new SpO2 sensor. As the name suggests, it detects and measures the blood oxygen saturation. This can avoid certain risks like suffering from hypoxia and muscle seizures. With the Honor Band 5, you also get 10 different sports mode which includes swimming, your basic running mode and cycling. Oh yes! Also all the other cool and good stuff about the Honor Band 4 including the infrared sensor, 6-axis motion sensor and optical heart rate monitor (although upgraded) continues its journey with the Honor Band 5.
The Honor Band 5 also casts the new TruSeen v3.5. This feature enables your band with continuous heart rate monitoring. The pumped-up version has revised its accuracy rate as high as 95% when compared to the Honor Band 4. This is an impressive upgrade on the Honor Band 5.

Which is the best for sports? – Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4
The Honor Band 5 rightfully is a better choice when it comes for athletic performance monitoring. In-fact slightly turns out to be better than the Mi Band 4 itself in this aspect.
SpO2 stands for peripheral capillary oxygen saturation. Like I previously mentioned the main purpose of the SpO2 sensor is to estimate the oxygenated haemoglobin level when compared to the non-oxygenated haemoglobin. This will help you to measure and notice some symptoms for seizure and hypoxia. Which further lets you to maintain good blood oxygenation which helps you to maintain a steady supply of energy to your muscles. Thus making the Honor Band 5 a perfect choice for sports and gym.
The Honor Band 5 can become the ultimate choice of fitness tracker for people who are interested in rock climbing.
Battery Performance – Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4
The major reason a user might shift from a smartwatch to a smartband would basically be because of the battery life. The Honor Band 5 comes equipped with a smaller 100mAh battery. On testing the battery lasted around 14-15 days in a single charge. Although with the TruSense 3.5 switched on, I barely got through 4-5 days. To be honest I don’t see any major upgrade in terms of battery performance when compared to the Honor Band 4.
You’ve a WINNER – Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4

With a higher-quality AMOLED DISPLAY, a blood oxygen level monitor and improved accuracy for personalized sleep advice make the Honor Band 5 the winner of this comparison – Huawei Honor Band 5 vs Honor Band 4. Currently, you can purchase the Honor Band 5 at a stunning price of just $35.69.
