After the long wait and the numerous rumors, Xiaomi confirmed that it is preparing to launch the new device Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition in an event held on September 19 in Chengdu, China. Yesterday, a poster was published in the official Weibo profile of the company, in which a number eight could be seen along with Xiaomi’s mascot approaching it.
According to the renders and the leaked images, this new smartphone will have a double horizontal camera located on its back. It will have a large 6.26-inch screen, with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Also, it seems that this device will have a notch, as most of the other phones that will be launched this year.
Following with the memory variants, there will be 32GB, 64GB and 128GB options of internal storage, and the user can expand it through a hybrid slot. Also, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition will come with Android 8.1 Oreo and 4G VoLTE support.
In the cameras section, Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition could come with a 24-megapixel camera located on the front for selfies, while you would see dual 12-megapixel sensors on the back along with a flash LED, which would support 4K video recording. The entire device will be powered by a 3500mAh battery compatible with Quick Charge 3.0, and, according to the list that appeared in TENAA, it is likely to have dimensions of 156.4mm x 75.8mm x 7.5mm.
On the other hand, the phone has been seen in the certification agency of Singapore, Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), which gives us a hint that it is also scheduled to launch in the global market. It will be available in several different colors, such as black, rose gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray, silver and green.
