Honor 9 – Specs, Price, Analysis and Honor 8 Comparison

Naturally, Honor 9 is ready to debut and we have all the specs, images and analysis. You might want to hold on to your money until the end of next month.

Honor 9 Specs – Honor 8 Comparison

Continuing the dual camera and Kirin chips traditions Honor 9 packs the latest Huawei has to offer.

Honor is making changes to the formula and added a Front Fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, we see curved sides and pretty much the same glass finish compared to Honor 8.

We do know for certain both Blue and White colour options will be available at launch.

Dimensions are nearly identical compared to Honor 8, which had size and weight balanced quite well. Battery size is modestly increased to 3100mAh, compared to 3000mAh in Honor 8.

Kirin 960 will be powering the latest Honor device. Performance enthusiasts won’t be disappointed as it’s probably the best chip on the market if not for Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 which launched 4 months after it.

Most experts, myself included, believe Kirin 960 to be the best smartphone chip when it comes to pure CPU performance.

Performance gains compared to Kirin 950 in the Honor 8 can clearly be seen here. More cores and newer tech in Mali G71 GPU really makes a difference. Having that in a sub 400$ makes Honor 9 a super-compelling buy.

Kirin 960 was the first(and still the only) to use Cortex A73 cores, offering better performance at the same power consumption.

Widely known for their great cameras the Honor series produces the best photo experience at an affordable price. Next-gen Honor is no exception, featuring dual 12+20MP camera sensors as Huawei P10, sans the Leica branding.
