BLUBOO D1 Review
Design & Build
For a device of this price tag, you will be amazed by the BLUBOO D1’s design and build quality. The D1 looks far from cheap with its metal unibody which is made of aircraft grade aluminum alloy. The curves on the front and the back make it much easier to hold as well.
The front of BLUBOO D1 contains the selfie softlight, breathing light and capacitive buttons that do not light up below the screen while the back host the dual cameras, dual LED flash and a fingerprint scanner which is quite easy to reach.
The BLUBOO D1 5.0-inch HD display is just magnificent. In addition to the great view angles the BLUBOO D1 presents, its colours are saturated with crisp pictures and text which makes it a beautiful sight to behold. The touch screen panel responds accurately thereby fulfilling the needs of consistent usage.
Hardware & Performance
Powered by a MediaTek MTK6580A CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, the BLUBOO D1 is as good any smartphone in that price-range. Generally, apps opens without delay, multitasking works just fine, apps opened in the background retains their position after a while thus user experience of this device is smooth and fluent.
With two Micro SIM cards, a microSD card and 256GB expandable storage support, the BLUBOO D1 gives users to have plenty of memory to store multimedia and apps. A 128GB TF card was inserted in this phone for videos.
Fingerprint Scanner Usage
The BLUBOO D1 can be unlocked in less than 0.1 second with the superfast and accurate fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. Five different fingerprints can be stored by the fingerprint scanner which is capable of 360° fingerprint recognition.
Dual Rear Camera
The BLUBOO D1 hosts an 8.0MP main camera along with a 2.0MP camera on the rear side of the phone. The photos produced are good, clear, rich in colors as well as high in brightness. The rear dual LED flash lights help illumine your images in low-light conditions or at night, creating clear, bright photos for you.
Here are some photos so you can judge for yourself:
Front Camera with Selfie Softlight
Selfie experience is amazing because, with the BLUBOO D1, you can take bokeh-effect selfies using a 5.0MP camera plus a secondary camera for creating depth-of-field effects. The selfie softlight is another important aspect of this device which casts a soft even light across the whole image and gives you bright and glossy complexion.

You don’t have to miss that important message anymore as the BLUBOO D1 is designed with a breathing light in the front, which glows from dark to light in different colors for different types of messages. Missed messages can be identified with a glance thus waking up the screen becomes irrelevant.
The BLUBOO D1 is unarguably one of the most decent, cost effective Android smartphones judging from its price and functions. It definitely deserves your consideration if you are in the market for a low budget dual camera phone with some decent specifications.
