  1. Never ever buy MOTOROLA products in your life time,I got cheated very badly
I purchased Moto G4 in August by paying Rs 15000/- it worked properly only 3 months
after that started flickering (Ghost Touch)&even you can’t speak more than 3 minutes above all this THEY DON’T HAVE SERVICE CENTERS city like HYDERABAD…It is really pathetic Company),once again I sincerely request you all don’t buy this company products at all& I assure you …you will be in loss of you buy
    Regards
    Purohit

    1. Yes I agree to the fact that the G4 and G4 plus had some major performance issues? but I don’t agree to the statement that Motorola is a pathetic company. I think that’s a bit too exaggerated.
I have been using the Moto G 1st gen and it still works like a charm even after 3 years. I still get a full day battery with moderate use and about 2 days battery with light use. Never had any ghost touch issues and I also bought the Moto E 1st gen and the Moto G 3rd gen and both works absolutely fine till now even after about 2 years.
However I never had to go to any of the lenovo service centres and so I can’t comment on the quality of the service centres but I have seen multiple reports that lenovo service centres are pretty bad so the fact that lenovo manages the issues with Motorola phones is a matter of concern for me in case I ever have to look for a service centre.
Motorola has my trust but not so much in lenovo although the lenovo k6 power that I bought for my sister few months back, delivers on all fronts so i am not resistant to change of it proves to be a good decision.
But I think redmi gives the best value for money? as I have had very good experiences with redmi 2 and redmi 3s.
But personally I am an admirer of clean stock android and a simple user interface so Moto is perfect for people like me.

      1. The only reason I did buy MOTO G4 was because of the fact that I was impressed by the performance of MOTO E1, which used to be my previous phone. But the amount of problems and junky performance did hurt the wallet when Rs.15000 was lashed out for it.
There are no Service Centres in Hyderabad according to the Moto (Lenovo)”s website. And the phone gives away to overheating and flickering when most needed. Recently I needed to book a cab for an emergency and the phone gave away.

While I do respect your opinion, you do need to use the device to understand how upset customers are.

        1. Yes but those are typical to Moto G 4 and g4 plus and not common in other models of Moto. There are some reports of ghost touches in some handsets. Majority of those don’t have ghost touches but the g4 plus was good only for its camera performance. Nothing else was good in it. The heating issue is due to the Snapdragon 617 which is common in other smartphones too having the Snapdragon 617. However the g4 play doesn’t feature the same chipset and it might have ghost touches but it doesn’t have the flickering and other issues like the g4. Snapdragon 410 is less powerful but more stable even though the Snapdragon 430 is currently the most stable version in the budget segment. The Snapdragon 625 is the stable version of the Snapdragon 617 and is currently offered by redmi note 4 and Moto g5 plus to name a few. However since the issue with g4 has been so common, Moto should have worked to provide it with some update to solve the issues? or roll back the faulty models and offer the newer models at much reduced price. On that front Moto didn’t live upto its expectations in the 4th gen models.

  2. Yes moto g4 plus is having major problems that frequently hanging and the screen flicker major time and automatically moves on to different screen

  3. So here it is November 2017 and US Moto G4 Play phones still do not have Anroid Nougat 7.0 yet. What’s going on with Lenovo/Motorola and US Cellular? Not one person from either company can give a straight answer on this one. Lots of Moto G4 Play owners not happy with this situation.
