Xiaomi Plans Big For India- New MIUI Features, Increased Production Capacity And Offers
Xiaomi has been one of the top-selling smartphone brands in India and just recently they launched their latest budget smartphone in India- the Redmi 4A. The Redmi 4A is the cheapest 4G VoLTE enabled device from Xiaomi in India and hitting the online store soon. However, at the launch event Xiaomi VP Manu Kumar Jain has revealed some more interesting facts and upcoming features, which clearly indicated how the brand is focusing towards the smartphone market and consumers in India. One such interesting feature was teased at the event- IRCTC Integration into messaging app.
If you book a train ticket in India, you must be acquainted with the confirmation SMS sent by the IRCTC (Indian Railways catering and Tourism Corporation), which looks too complicated filled with some alphanumeric data. But that will soon be replaced as Xiaomi will push a new update which will show the confirmation message in a beautiful way.

Get ready to say ‘bye bye’ to the boring and complicated confirmation message and enjoy this new type of messages which is more intiutive and you will also get an option to check yur PNR status or can add the trip to the calender with a tap.
With this feature focused towards the consumers, Xiaomi VP Manu Kumar Jain who is also the head of company’s operation in India revealed that they are now able to produce 1 unit per minute as they have started a new factory in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.

Not just that, 95% of the Xiaomi phones sold in India are made in India and they are also expecting to eradicate the problem of units going out of stock soon.
The Redmi 4A is one of the cheapest phones out there with VoLTE support, 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage which can be expanded up to 128GB a 13MP rear snapper, 3120mAh battery. All these things, combined are expected to make this phone a hit among consumers who are looking for a budget phone and also those, who are willing to spend a little for a secondary phone. The phone goes for sale for the first time at 12PM on 23rd March, and will be available on both amazon and Mi.com, also there is an offer from Idea Cellular for the Redmi 4A buyers.
Idea prepaid users who will buy the Xiaomi Redmi 4A from Amazon India will get 28GB of 4G data for just Rs. 343. Using this offer they can get 1GB data/day for 28 days. Along with this, customers will get 300 minutes of free calls/day and 3,000 local and STD SMS/ month. After 28 days, customers can avail this offer again. However, this offer will be valid upto June 30th, 2017. Amazon will give Rs. 50 discount for official Mi cases for Redmi 4A and Rs. 200 credit for Kindle Store (first 100,000 customers).
