Huawei Maya, a mid-range Smartphone Spotted on GeekBench

The first month of 2017 gone and it gave us a ton of details about the upcoming smartphones from flagships like S8 or G6 to some mid-rangers like Moto G5. Huawei has been a company that made huge progress in past couple of years and is now the 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer after Samsung and Apple. Today, a new Huawei smartphone named Huawei Maya has made its way to the benchmarking platform, GeekBench where the major specifications have been leaked. Interestingly, the smartphone had the date of FCC filling of 28th December 2016; this means we missed it that time, probably due to the Christmas Break. Well, today it leaked once again, and the specifications show it is not going to be a very high-end smartphone but rather a budget friendly one.

HUAWEI MAYA SPECIFICATIONS

Talking about the specifications, the Huawei Maya runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737T Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.44GHz. There is just 2GB of RAM. With this type of specifications, we can surely say it is going to be a mid-ranger and even cheaper than the latest Honor 6X. The handset has been spotted with the model numberMYA-L03 whereas, on FCC, we got a look at the back side of MYS-L23. The chances are that these are two different variants of the same phone with the latter being dual-SIM device.  There is a 2,920 mAh battery and it is compatible with LTE bands 2, 4, 5, and 7 on both models.
