Xiaomi Working on Xiaomi Mi 6: Here are the Possible Specifications of the 2017 Flagship
Now that Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Note 2, it’s time for Mi 6 which is the company’s upcoming premium flagship that is slated to make its first official public appearance in 2017. But before that, we have an official report coming from Xiaomi which says that the 1999 YUAN price tag from this year’s flagship Mi 5 and build material will be retained. This time Xiaomi has started an official poll asking the users to vote for the specs recommendations directly from its fans. Let’s check out how different these three Xiaomi Mi 6 variants are.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Possible Specifications:
The Xiaomi Mi 6 High-end: Obviously the flagship high-end model will pack high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chipset coupled with massive RAM providing enough fuel to power the flagship chipset. If the recent design changes of the Xiaomi phones give you any clue, the Mi 6 will also come with a brand new all metal design keeping the device weight in check.
The Mid-Ranger (Phone B): Next up is the trim down variant of the Mi 6 that will be powered by the mid-rage Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 series. If we are to guess it will be the Snapdragon 653 which is the recent sensation from Qualcomm. It will come with Dual Rear cameras with OIS combines with optical Zoom. Talking about the design, it should be in line with the recently launched Mi Note 2 but with a few changes.
The Affordable One (Phone C): Lastly, the affordable variant that comes with some interesting features in budget. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 series chipset, but not as powerful as the mid-range model. This variant will also feature dual rear cameras with optical zoom, but skimps on OIS just like any Xiaomi’s affordable budget smartphone.
Going by the product release time line, the Mi 6 will be launched early 2017 with hardware changes by giving a solid upgrade from this year’s portfolio.
