
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Launched: Dual Curved OLED, 22.56MP Cam, 2799 Yuan($413)!
Finally, Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Note 2 in an action packed event held in China. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 indeed lived up to its billing of an exceptional device from Xiaomi that can truly stand its own against the likes of the Galaxy series and other flagships.

On the body design, the Mi Note 2 is said to utilize a body frame made of Aerospace grade 7 series aluminum, giving the device a sleek look. The body comes coated in two difference color options; Glacier Silver and Bright Black. The flagship Mi Note 2 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box.
On the hardware terrain, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at 2.35GHz, supplemented by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. There is a base version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The battery doesn’t disappoint either, packing a tremendous 4,070mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 for faster charging.The device also features a Hi-Fi sound quality and low distortion with an AQSTIC HD audio processor. There is also NFC for fingerprint payments and improved GPS.
On the camera end, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might have gotten some persons disappointed in not sporting a dual rear camera setup, but disappointment shouldn’t come in when you discover there is a powerful 22.56MP Sony IMX318 EXMOR RS sensor on the rear camera with Electronic Image Stabilization, 3-axis gyroscope but no IOS. The camera also comes with PDAF as well as a f/2.0 aperture and support for 4K video shoot.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 starts at a cheap price tag of 2799 Yuan ($413) for the base model with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. There is another version with 6GB RAM + 128GB RAM priced at 3299 Yuan ($487). Finally there is a Special Global Edition also with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM but with 37 LTE bands from across the world with a price tag of 3499 Yuan ($516).
You won’t have to wait for long to get a feel of the device as the Mi note 2 will go on sales starting November 1.
