Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus with Dual Cameras, SD 821 Official, Starts at 2299 Yuan($345)

Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus has finally been announced today at an event held in China. The Mi 5S Plus was released along with the Mi 5S as well as Mi TV 3S models. The Mi 5S Plus comes with a larger 5.7-inch screen size and a 1080 pixels resolution which places it in the category of the iPhone 7 Plus but with bigger display size. However the iPhone 7 Plus is bigger than the Mi 5S Plus in entire dimension.

The 5.7-inch Mi 5S Plus packs under its hood, the flagship Snapdragon 821 processor Qualcomm’s latest along with two RAM versions, one having 4GB of RAM and another with 6GB of RAM. The 4GB RAM version of the Mi 5S Plus is accompanied by 64GB of internal storage while the version with 6GB of RAM comes with 128GB of internal storage. Both versions runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8.

The Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus doesn’t look like a higher version of the Mi 5S which it launched together with. The device adopts a design different from the Mi 5S. The latest underglass ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is missing on the Mi 5S Plus rather the device has a fingerprint scanner mounted at the back just under the dual cameras.

Coming to the cameras, the Mi 5S Plus features a dual camera set up at its back which has a combined pixel size of 13MP. the dual cameras comprise a color sensor which is the primary camera and a black and white sensor acting as the secondary camera. They are reputed to be able to work independent of each other and also work together. the dual cameras consisting of the lack and white as well as color sensor works toogether to capture images which are rendered as colored images with richer details, eliminating image noise. The black and white sensor can as well be used to shoot black and white images. There is also a 4MP front camera for selfies and a 3800mAh battery inside.The Mi 5S Plus also comes with a host of other features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, NFC etc.

Talking about the price,this one comes very cheap, even cheaper than earlier rumored. The Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage starts at 2299 Yuan ($345), while the higher version with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage carries a price tag of 2599 Yuan ($390). The device comes in gray, gold, silver and rose gold colors and goes on sale very rapidly. The Mi 5S Plus and the Mi 5S would be available from September 29, just two days from now.
