Xiaomi Mi 5S And Mi 5S Plus Priced At 1999 Yuan And 2999 Yuan
The Xiaomi Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus have been all but confirmed to be released this September 27 based on teasers and leaks that we have seen so far. While we do know some of the hardware specifications for both handsets, their pricing have just been leaked earlier in a presentation slide. The Xiaomi Mi 5S will retail for 1999 yuan ($300), while the larger sized Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus will cost 33% more at 2999 yuan ($450).

The Xiaomi Mi 5S and 5S Plus have been priced to please
Just to refresh our memories as to what the Xiaomi Mi 5S will bring to the table, it will run on the Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm, sporting a whopping 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory for the high end version. The lower end model will have less internal memory and RAM count, of course, but will still retain the speedy processor.
As for the 2999 yuan Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus, this model will also be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor, where you will find it work alongside 6GB of RAM and carry a whopping 256GB of internal storage. Surely there should not be a need for a microSD memory card with this puppy! The screen size too will gain a bump to 5.7-inches at 2K resolution, as opposed to the 5.15-inch Full HD display on the smaller Mi 5S.
Regardless of which model you choose, the Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus will feature Qualcomm’s very own Under Glass Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor that is far more accurate than before. This does away with the need for a physical Home key, and there will be NFC support for Mi-Pay as well.
You need not fret about the performance of both handsets, since they have been teased to hit an AnTuTu high of 164,119 — and that might even be a prototype device for all we know, outgunning the recent LeEco Le Pro 3 to boot. Now all we need is the price of the Mi 5S with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
