Xiaomi Mi 5 price reduced further, possibly because of upcoming Mi 5s release

It’s no secret that Xiaomi is working on its next flagship device namely the Xiaomi Mi 5S. We had also reported about Mi 5s several times in the past with few of its leaked features and specifications.

In a related news, Xiaomi has reduced the price of its current flagship device – The Mi 5 in China. The current price of the device is down to 1599 Yuan from 1799 Yuan. However, the price reduction is currently only applicable to the purple and gold colored standard (3GB, 64GB) standard edition of Xiaomi Mi 5.

In case you are unaware, the standard edition of Mi 5 sports 3 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, unlike the pro edition that has 4GB and 128GB of RAM and internal storage respectively. Also, as of now, there’s no price cut for the pro edition.

Other features of the Mi 5 includes 1.8 GHz Snapdragon processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 16 MP and 5 MP rear and front cameras respectively.
