Meizu’s next flagship device – Pro 7 is not going to be launched in 2016

Since the past couple of months Meizu has been in the news for launching smartphones with competitive pricing with the recent launch being the Meizu M3 Max that we posted about just recently.

Meizu has released smartphones in almost all the price segment namely Meizu PRO 6, Charm Blue E, MX6, M3 Max, charm Blue Note 3, etc.

There was also speculation that the Meizu’s next flagship device which is named as Pro 7 as per leaks was due to be released somewhere around September 2016. However, Mr. Li Nan, VP at Meizu confirmed via Weibo that there is no launch event scheduled for Meizu in September.

Mr. Nan further added that people will witness the fastest smartphone launch from Meizu in 2017.

Coming to the features and specifications of Meizu Pro 7, apparently, the next flagship from the brand will ditch Mediatek processor for Samsung’s flagship Exynos 8890 processor.

However, if few other leaks are to be believed, Meizu is also working on another device named Meizu Pro 6S but leaks about Pro 6S comes from very unreliable sources and we doubt if that news is anywhere close to being true.
