Just before the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, lots of pictures, renders and hardware details have already leaked! Just as we had been expecting for Xiaomi, the new handset appears to have some of the top specifications, the first for the company.

Details about the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 hardware have been revealed courtesy of the settings screenshot. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor on board, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage which will be the first for a Chinese OEM. This device is also rumored to feature Snapdragon 821. However, the 2.1 GHz speed clock on it suggest otherwise.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 settings screenshot also reveal that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be running Xiaomis MIUI 8.6.8.26 software and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Previous rumors about the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 hardware also point to a fingerprint scanner which is most likely to be enclosed inside the home button, the 5.5 or 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display and a 3,600 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. There are also 128GB and 32GB memory capacity options too with the 32GB model containing 4GB of RAM to ensure the price is kept down.

The leaked screenshots of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 indicate the phone might have a dual curve display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and the new Note 7. The leaked images also reveal a dual camera configuration on the back, a 3.5 mm jack located at the top of the handset and a USB Type –C port.

The best thing of all is that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will most likely start at $375 and will be launched on September 5th, 2016. However, we need to wait for more information about its release before coming up with many opinions.
