Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specifications Leaked
Xiaomi has opted to replace the aging Snapdragon 801 processor in the previous Mi Note with the latest and greatest Snapdragon 821 processor which should provide this phone with some insane performance. In addition, it comes with a standard 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This can be increased to 6GB and 128GB respective for about $30USD more. One thing I had hoped was an increase in the battery size, but we still find the 3600mAh battery albeit with quick charge.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specifications
- 5.7″ 1920×1080 IPS LCD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Octacore Processor (Cortex A53)
- 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB Storage
- Front facing fingerprint Sensor
- 3600mAh Battery with Quick Charge
- Metal CnC Body
- 2499 Yuan ($375USD) to 2699 Yuan ($405)
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Specifications & Geekbench Scores
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will feature the Snapdragon 625 which is the much-awaited successor to the Snapdragon 616. Even though both chipsets are both Cortex A53 chipsets, we can expect a much higher clock speed (2GHz vs 1.3GHz) and the new Adreno 506 GPU. In addition, battery life (according to Qualcomm) will be much improved as well.
We find 3GB of RAM which is a welcome addition, seeing as the 2GB of RAM on my Redmi 3 is quite spartan. The phone will also run the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, in which case it wouldn’t be wrong to expect it to run MIUI8 as well. We also find the standard 4100mAh battery that should be able to take anyone throughout a full day without issues. Even if you do run out of battery (ahem, Pokemon Go), there is also quick charge to give you a quick topup.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Specifications
- 5″ 1920×1080 IPS LCD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octacore Processor (Cortex A53)
- 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage
- 4100mAh Battery with Quick Charge
- Metal CnC Body
- 699 Yuan ($105USD)
Core Scores Detailed
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 scores more than the existing Redmi smartphones in the multi-core department. This is surprising as the Snapdragon 625 actually beats the Redmi Note 3 and the Redmi 3 Pro in the multi-core test, something that we weren’t expecting considering the Redmi Note 3 Pro (Score 4231) runs a Snapdragon 652. However, it does start trailing behind the Redmi Note 3 Pro (score: 1543)significantly in the single core test. However, only time and reviews will tell whether the performance of the Redmi 4 can actually match up to the Redmi Note 3 Pro.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 might actually surpass the Redmi 3 Pro in terms of performance. As we near the August 25 release date (which was verified by reliable sources), we are looking at a $105 price tag for the Redmi 4 and $375 for the Mi Note 2. Both these prices are very good for the specifications that they carry, and we hope that the user experience measures up. If they do, they are going to be huge hits.

No SD card support? No deal.
“Metal CnC Body” … seems a backward move, with greater trouble with the many antennas inside the phone. Plastic cases make better engineering sense, even though the non-engineering public have idiot brains (demanding breakable-glass and heavy metal covers).
SD support is possible at at cost, in weight, size, costs & reliability. Our Samsung Galaxy s6 is ok with the OTG flash storage, in addition to the 128 GB of memory space within the smartphone. Wifi connection to other external storage units works reliably and well.
