Today, July 02 2016, Xiaomi officially announced Xiaomi Notebook Air 12.5 inch with a showroom price of ¥ 3499 (approximated to $ 526.35 at 0.15USD/CNY).
Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Nitan, Zhuhai, and Hong Kong, however, postponed their date of sales on Aug 03 due to no-business-day on Tuesday, Aug 02.

Slimmer But Heavier Than Apple Macbook 12 Inch
Xiaomi Notebook Air 12.5-inch is quite slim at 12.9 mm and light at 1.07 kg. Comparatively, it is thinner than the MacBook 12-inch(13.1mm) but 150gms heavier.
The processor that comes with it is Intel Core M3 CPU, with no GPU. It has 4GB of RAM 128GB of ROM wich is SSD connected through SATA. And there is a spare PCIe slot for you to get upgraded in a later stage (Hope, you will get help with Xiaomi Representatives). Whereas you get just one 3.0 USB, there is an HDMI port to compensate.
Xiaomi also offer, for the first time, 19 stores to support customization services. Customization of engraving your own texts on the notebook. You get only a small Mi Logo on opening the notebook, and not on the outside which Xiaomi seems to leave out for the users to customize.
Xiaomi have stressed on its laminated display which considerably reduce the glare, and its glass protection (edge-to-edge), its full-sized backlit keyboard with a stroke depth of 1.3mm stroke, dual AKG speakers, and surround sound of Dolby Digital. It also has Cloud Sync to let users sync phone data, contacts,notes, messages, and gallery etc.
It should be noted that only 12.5 inches version have been on put on sale today, Aug 02, at 10 am. And for the 13.3-inch version, the release date has not been made public.
