Oukitel is known for its wide range of smartphones boasting high battery capacities and for consumers wanting a terrific price/performance product along with a large amount of talk time, should definitely take a look at both Oukitel K6000 (priced at $119.99 at Gear Best) and Oukitel K6000 Pro. While there no differences between battery capacities, it should be noted that there are several hardware differences between the two smartphones which we will be looking at closely and both of them will have an effect; both negative and positive on the overall battery life. Let us start our comparison review.
Table of Contents
Screen size and resolution
Both Oukitel K6000 and Oukitel K6000 Pro sport a phablet sized form factor thanks to a 5.5 inch IPS LCD (advantage and disadvantages of this particular display have been listed below). While the overall display type and screen size are not going to affect the battery life, the resolution will have a different tale to tell. The Pro model has a resolution of 1080p, while the regular version has a 720p. Most users will be attracted towards the Pro model because 1080p displays have that alluring effect because everything present inside them becomes a much more detailed.
Little do they know that every rendered pixel adds more stress to the battery life. However, battery life is subjected to the amount of usage and stress that you yourself exert on your smartphone and seeing as how both Oukitel K6000 models pack a massive 6,000mAh battery inside, you will easily be able to rake a ton of battery life out of it.
Advantages of IPS displays
Best color reproduction
Sharper and clearer images are formed
Best viewing angles
Intense white color
Improved response time
Much cheaper than AMOLED displays
Disadvantages of IPS displays
IPS panels require a strong backlight
Consumes more energy compared to AMOLED displays
More effort will have to be put in the engineering of the smartphone in order to accommodate other components
Chipset, processor, GPU, RAM and performance comparison details
As the name suggests, the Pro model obviously sports better hardware specifications when the chipset, processor, RAM and GPU are taken into consideration. Oukitel K6000 features an MT6735P SoC, while its better performing sibling features an MT6753. Despite the fact that both chipsets are manufactured on the 28nm process, they are miles apart in terms of specification differences, as you will clearly be able to see in the table below.
Attention: The internal data of table “34” is corrupted!
Additionally, Oukitel K6000 Pro also has 3GB of RAM compared to 2GB LPDDR3 present in the regular model, and will obviously have major advantages when you want to excel in multitasking and other intense processes such as indulging in graphically heavy mobile applications. In short, the Pro version will definitely deliver better performance in comparison to the regular version, and for most consumers out there; they prefer a balance of both speed and additional battery life to go along with their purchase.
If you are looking for additional performance, then there is no doubt that you will pick Oukitel K6000 Pro. However, if you just want to pick up a smartphone just for the sake of enjoying a high amount of battery life, then there is absolutely no need to spend a huge amount of cash on the Pro model; not when you can get everything done with the regular model.
Internal and external storage expansion capabilities
Both Oukitel K6000 have Oukitel K6000 Pro 16GB of on-board storage (storage can be expanded to 64GB via a microSD card slot), which means that you will have to extra careful when storing applications. Keep in mind that while you have the option to expand your storage, some app data cannot be written to the microSD card since they feature core files that need to be present in the internal storage of the smartphone. On both smartphones, we felt that in order to keep the pricing low, a very small amount of internal storage was added, which is quite disappointing. There are several drawbacks of having small amount of storage, with the primary one being that if you continue to fill up that flash memory with lots of data, it will eventually result in performance hampering.
Keep in mind that this principle also applies to computer hardware the same way that it does to mobile hardware; it does not matter if you have the latest and greatest components assembled in your machine because it will be of no use if your storage cannot keep up with that speed. Everything is read and written from your storage, and is then picked up by the rest of the components. If that ends up slowing down then so will your entire machine. Another thing we need to point out is that not all of the 16GB will be available at your disposal. A large chunk of it is going to be used up by the system, and it will leave the available storage in two forms:
Internal storage (where all the core app data files are going to be stored)
Phone storage (where all the rest of the data ranging from videos, images and other images are going to be stored)
Adding a microSD card will increase your overall phone storage. However, it is highly recommended that you invest a healthy sum in a storage card that high sequential read and write speeds. Flash memory present in smartphones and tablets are much faster than expandable storage cards, which only means that you will be required to match that performance (or come close to it) otherwise you will definitely run into performance issues. There are a wide-range of storage cards available and while they might be pricier compared to the rest of the competition, they will be worth every penny.
Wireless connectivity features
Both models possess the same connectivity features, which have been listed below:
Bluetooth: 4.0
Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n wireless internet
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
4G: FDD-LTE 800/1800/2100/2600MHz
Since there is nothing overly exciting to discuss over here, let us move onto the next section.
Rear and front cameras
According to Oukitel, its K6000 Pro models features an IMX214 13MP rear camera sensor and before you ask, it is the same one that is present in Nexus 6, which might be a whole generation old but it is still able to capture impressive images and videos. The 13MP rear camera is supplemented with the inclusion of an 8MP camera, but sadly, it does not feature a front LED flash, which is crucial if you want to capture clear images in low-light conditions.
As for Oukitel K6000, its 8MP/2MP camera combination is definitely inferior to that of Oukitel K6000 Pro, so if you want to enjoy some high-level smartphone photography, you will definitely have to purchase the Pro version. Keep in mind that the rear camera sensor is only limited to recording 1080p videos at 30FPS. The reason why Nexus 6 was able to capture 4K videos at 30FPS was because it had sufficient processing power to go along with capturing high-resolution footage. While MT6753 is definitely a clear winner in mid-ranged handsets, it does not quite have enough processing kick to capture 4K footage.
Battery capacities
After looking at all the specifications, it is difficult to believe that both Oukitel K6000 and Oukitel K6000 Pro would feature the same battery capacity. According to the company, the 6000mAh battery will be able to deliver the following number of hours based on the activity you indulge in (keep in mind that the following information is for Oukitel K6000 and the number of hours will definitely vary in the Pro version thanks to the obvious specification differences):
Normal use: 10 days
Talk time: 96 hours
Standby time: 40 days
Music Playback: 46 hours
Surprisingly, the company did not manage to state the number of hours that you will be able to rake out of the smartphone when connected to the 3G and/or LTE network. Despite their advancements, the biggest complaint of smartphones is their terrible battery life, and while both handsets have a battery capacity that will dwarf the talk time of even current generation flagship smartphones, it is necessary for the company to list crucial information such as this.
Which smartphone should you purchase?

When should you purchase Oukitel K6000?
When you want higher battery life than the Pro model (the regular version has a smaller resolution, less number of cores and less RAM, which might not contribute all that well to performance, but will definitely add up the overall battery life)
Purchasing an affordable smartphone
When should you purchase Oukitel K6000 Pro?
When you want to experience higher overall performance
When you want to experience better multitasking and gaming performance
When you want to capture higher resolution images
When you want added security in the form of a fingerprint reader (Oukitel K6000 does not have such a feature)
