Pepsi P1 Smartphone Specs and Pictures leaked
The smartphone market is disputed by dozens of manufacturers who fight for your attention and your money. But it seems that even companies that do not operate in the technology sector also plan to enter this fight. Users of Weibo, a Chinese network well known as the Asian version of Twitter, found the image below in a website page. As can be seen, we see the name Pepsi Phone next to the logo already known by many. This evidence began to make sense when it was found that that page is recorded in the “IT / Internet / Electronic Products / mobile phone manufactures” in the social network. What makes clear that we are not facing new product just consumption but rather something more technological. What also makes this concrete evidence is that this account is verified (Which is also similar to Twitter’s Verified program)
Does Pepsi would even be interested to launch a smartphone with your name? Facebook has already done this with the Facebook Phone, but in this case, the proposal was to deliver a phone that has its main resources focused on the Facebook social network. In the case of Pepsi, we have no idea what the company’s motivations to invest in a similar product. Not to mention that the product, if there really will not be produced by Pepsi, but for some Chinese manufacturer. A partnership with Xiaomi or Huawei could arise at any moment? Or maybe a re-branded smartphone from an OEM? We have seen this with Micromax, and Indian Smartphone company.
