Huawei Mate S coming in a 128GB version? Looks like company is full of surprises

During IFA 2015, Chinese smartphone company Huawei unveiled its Mate S, a smartphone that not only packs an impressive configuration, but it also rocks in the internal storage and camera sensor categories. Now, Huawei Mate S is going to cater to those consumers that require a ton of internal memory, and is going to be shipped out in the 128GB capacity model very soon.

According to a source, the 64GB version is going to cost 4,199 Yuan, which is 8.68. Looking at how expensive this version is, consumers should be vary that they are going to have to spend a lot more if they want to become the owner of 128GB version of Huawei Mate S. The smartphone is equipped with Force Touch, which is also present in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The only difference is that the tech present in Huawei Mate S functions on a single pressure while Apple’s flagship products’ Force Touch functions on three different levels of pressure.

Coming to the hardware specifications, Huawei Mate S is running a Kirin 935 chipset, which is running an octa-core processor running in two quad-core configurations. One quad-core is running Cortex-A53 at 2.2GHz, while the other one is running the same processing cores, but at a lower clock speed of 1.5GHz. Despite the fact that Huawei Mate S is the company’s flagship handset, it was disappointing to see that it only features 3GB of RAM.

However, the company did include one crucial feature; incorporating a microSD slot with a maximum capacity value of 128GB. In addition, the smartphone also runs a 13MP rear camera sensor, 8MP front camera sensor, and a non-removable 2,700mAh battery. For a flagship smartphone, Huawei Mate S should have added a larger battery capacity. As for the 128GB version, we are going to wait for the company to release additional details.
