Lenovo Vibe P1 Launched with a 5000mAh battery that can go 3 days without charging

There were so many leaks and rumors regarding the Lenovo Vibe P1 recently, that was up until IFA 2015 where Lenovo showcased the new phone. Lenovo has just officially released the Lenovo Vibe P1 at IFA 2015’s trade show conference.

As some of you may know, the Vibe P1 carries a huge 5000mAh battery which is absolutely insane. The only other contender that beats it is the Innos D6000, which is comprised of 2 batteries, both totaling up to 6000mAh in capacity.

As for the battery charge, we already mentioned that the Lenovo Vibe P1 can last up to 3 days on a single charge, but for a 5000mAh battery pack, how long will it actually take to charge? Since the Lenovo Vibe P1 packs a Qualcomm SoC (Snapdragon 615) there’s Qualcomm branded Quick Charge 2.0, so charge times will differentiate a little bit. It’s been reported that the Vibe P1’s 5000mAh monster battery can take as much as up to 3 hours to charge the device from 0% to 100%, but it’s an inconvenient trade-off to gain 3 days of usage without charging, which is worth it.

In terms of hardware specifications, the Lenovo Vibe P1 packs a 5.5 Inch Full HD display, with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. The device also features the 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU, along with 16GB of internal storage with MicroSD expansion, 3GB of RAM, a 13 Megapixel primary camera and a 5MP front facing camera. Te device’s dimensions measure in at 152.9 × 75.6 × 9.9mm, which makes the device pretty bulky and thick, but considering the huge battery, it’s not much of an issue. Because the device is crafted of aluminum materials, the device will also be weighed down quite a bit.
