QiKU to launch its first ever handset in August; really impressive benchmark score leaked
From the efforts of Qihoo 360 and Coolpad, comes a smartphone startup called QiKU that is expected to target the price/performance handset market. The company is expected to launch its first ever smartphone during the month of August and according to the leak that we have come across, it is going to sport impressive hardware specifications.
According to the details of the leak,
- 2 Cortex-A57 cores running at 1.82 GHz
- 2 Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.44 GHz
Supplementing the performance of the processor is going to be an Adreno 418 GPU, and 3GB of RAM. Although the device is also going to be running 32GB of RAM, there is no word whether or not, it is going to be sporting a microSD card slot or not. One thing that smartphone consumers can look forward to is that it is going to be running Google’s latest Android update, Lollipop 5.1.1.
In order to give you a brief demonstration on how the smartphone is going to perform, AnTuTu scores of the handset were leaked, and the device from QiKU was able to obtain a score of 50,937 points. Coming to the camera sensors, the unnamed QiKU features a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera sensor, which should provide impressive image and video quality. Currently, there are no pricing details of the smartphone, but we suspect that the company is going to price it very competitively in order to gain an early edge in the market.
With Xiaomi having released its ultra-affordable Redmi Note 2; a handset that is running Helio X10 and is priced for just $125, QiKU is going to have its work significantly cut out when it gears up to release its first ever smartphone.
