The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is in the news for quite a few days now. Yesterday, the phone showed up on TENNA, that revealed the specifications as well as the two color variants. Today, however, we don’t have a leak but an official stuff. The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, has shared the official images of the Redmi Note 5A on Weibo and this has once again shown that Xiaomi is not one of those companies that try to hide things a lot. The Note 5A is surely not that bad regarding the looks as it looked like in the images leaked
THIS IS THE XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 5A
Talking about the front of the phone, there is a normal looking design, or we can say a typical Xiaomi design with three touch-capacitive buttons, the display with thin black borders, earpiece, front camera and the sensors. The image above shows the Rose Gold variant of the phone with a white colored front.
The Volume rockers along with the power button are on the right whereas the SIM card tray is on the left side. Again, it seems this is going to be a hybrid SIM slot but who knows Xiaomi might have a surprise for us. On the bottom, there is the micro USB port along with two grills, and it is kind of hard to say if both of these are speakers as we have seen previously that one of these is the primary mic while other is the speaker.
There is a single camera sensor on the back with the Antenna lines having a shiny chrome finish. On the bottom-rear side, there is the Mi Logo.
Well, talking about the specifications, the Redmi Note 5A has a 5.5-inch 720p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 425/430 processor with 2/3GB RAM and 16/32GB internal storage. There is 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. The higher end variant is expected to come with a price tag of 1,199 Yuan (~$299), and the lower-specced Note 5A is expected to be priced at 999 Yuan (~$149). The Note 5A is officially launching on August 21st. What do you think about the phone? Do let us know via the comments section.
