When a gadget carries a letter ‘A’, generally it means we are dealing with a low-end or affordable device. Xiaomi’s products are no exception. Say, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the cheapest phone of the company coming at 499 yuan ($75) only. The same is true for the Xiaomi mi TV 4A. It’s the cheaper variant of the much-loved Xiaomi Mi TV 4 at 4.9mm thickness. When the company launched the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A recently, it made a huge stir around it. The main reason why this happened is considered by the fact we had been waiting for the original Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. However, the manufacturer had had other plans and it is going to launch the Redmi Note 5 only after the Note 5A was out. A few days back, we’ve come in with an interesting article showcasing the Redmi Note 5 official photos. But today we have found other photos changing almost everything we have known about this device.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A’s lowest version is priced at 699 yuan ($75), while the highest variant comes at 1199 yuan ($180). The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 should be priced identically. Thus we are dealing with a 1000 yuan ($150). But who said a wallet-friendly smartphone should come with a regular look and features? It can get some trendy features as well. As you remember the same happened with the Redmi Note 5A. As you remember it sports a 16MP front shooter with a list of enhances features for better selfies. As for the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, it will use a full-screen design.
As you can see in the photos, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a metal housing and uses a three-stage antenna design. But there are many improvements in comparison to the previous modes, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. First, it sports a dual-camera using a 16+5MP configuration. Second, there is a fingerprint scanner, which means the company can make the screen even larger not leaving a place for a home button or Android’s traditional keys. Finally, we see a screen occupying the most of the front panel. There are too narrow areas left for the speaker, front camera, and a flashlight. What’s interesting, the bottom side uses symmetrical design.
Well, even if the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will look so amazing, it doesn’t mean there will be many trendy hardware under the hood. We have been thinking this model will come with a Snapdragon 660 chip. But the latter appears on such a beast as the Xiaomi Mi Note 3. So it’s quite impossible to see the same on a device at a lower category. It’s rumored the Redmi Note 5 will come with a MediaTek P25 or P30 SoCs. Finally, the phone should sport a built-in battery of a 4000mAh capacity. As I said at the beginning of the article, the handset should be priced identically to its sibling. Earlier we have heard the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will come in different variants – 3+32GB at 999 yuan ($150), 4+32GB at 1299 yuan ($196), and 4+64GB at 1599 yuan ($241).
