Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus to Come With Full-Screen and Cost 999 yuan ($151) Only

There should various fifth-gen Redmi line devices. We have already seen the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A. This is a pioneer, but its siblings are coming. Earlier we have heard Xiaomi is going to launch a cheap full-screen phone on October 16-17. Now seems we know what a title it will carry and how much it will cost. Yesterday, we wrote about a mysterious Xiaomi device that was assumed to be the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. As you remember, it used very stylish design with a border-less (almost) screen. Today new leaks come out way concerning this amazing device. And it turns out we are dealing with the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus. This sounds more logical.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus

Actually, the forthcoming Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus doesn’t come with a traditional full-screen. Although the upper and lower parts have been reduced in size. Therefore, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S8 rather than the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. This design is quite attractive, but its price is more attractive to us. Agree, 999 yuan ($151) makes this handset be the cheapest full-screen phone coming our way from a top brand.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is rumored to come with specs including a 5.7-inch 720p display (720 × 1440), Snapdragon 450 processor based on 14nm process node, dual-camera with 13MP sensors, QC3.0 and many more.

Prior to this we have seen leaked documents concerning two models with MET7 and MEE7 code-names. They are going to be the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, respectively. The former one is going to be priced at 699-899 yuan ($106-136) depending on the memory option of 3/4GB.

At last, there is news referring to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 as well as the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Thus we can cross fingers and wait for up to 4 Redmi line handsets in the nearest future.
