Actually, the forthcoming Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus doesn’t come with a traditional full-screen. Although the upper and lower parts have been reduced in size. Therefore, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S8 rather than the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. This design is quite attractive, but its price is more attractive to us. Agree, 999 yuan ($151) makes this handset be the cheapest full-screen phone coming our way from a top brand.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is rumored to come with specs including a 5.7-inch 720p display (720 × 1440), Snapdragon 450 processor based on 14nm process node, dual-camera with 13MP sensors, QC3.0 and many more.
Prior to this we have seen leaked documents concerning two models with MET7 and MEE7 code-names. They are going to be the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, respectively. The former one is going to be priced at 699-899 yuan ($106-136) depending on the memory option of 3/4GB.
At last, there is news referring to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 as well as the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Thus we can cross fingers and wait for up to 4 Redmi line handsets in the nearest future.
