The new Xiaomi power bank was unveiled on September 12. The Xiaomi Mi PowerBank 2C looks identical to its predecessor, but there are some differences as well. That’s why we have to look at the photos below in order to understand what has been changed in this model.
The Xiaomi Mi PowerBank 2X comes with a PC/ABS environmentally friendly material. This plastic chassis has a matte surface. So we can say it provides the same non-slippery holding experience like the second-gen Mi PowerBank. It’s also scratch resistant. This model comes with dimensions of 13.55 x 6.76 x 2.39 cm and weighs 328 grams. In this sense, the PowerBank 2C is a bit bulkier than the Mi PowerBank 2.
It’s become a standard for high-end power banks, so the Xiaomi Mi PowerBank 2C comes with two USB ports as well as a micro USB port. Thus it supports bi-directional charging. The interfaces support 5.1V / 2.4A, 9V / 2A, and 12V / 1.5A with the maximum power of 18W. But this option can be used for only one port at a certain moment. This means when a single device is charging from one port, the Quick Charge 3.0 is enabled for it and disabled for the second one. It will take up to 8 hours to fill the battery fully.
Finally, the total capacity is 20.000mAh, but the actual output capacity is 13.000mAh due to the improved conversion rate of 93%. This capacity is sufficient for charging the Xiaomi Mi 5X for 4.3 times or the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 for 3.8 times. The Xiaomi Mi PowerBank 2C comes with temperature protection, short circuit protection, input overvoltage protection, and a power display button to show the current power status once is tapped.
