Beijing subway line allows passengers to pay the fare via their smartphones. This system saves more information about the devices the payment was made via than you think. Say, it identifies the phone model and saves it in the database. So, it turns out yesterday one of the passengers have made a payment via a handset dubbed Chiron. If this name doesn’t sound familiar to you, I have to remind you it’s the codename of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. Does this mean the next-gen full-screen flagship of the company is already ready and it’s being tested currently? I guess, Yes.

A few days back we have been talking about the possible launch date of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. According to the leaks, it’s going to be September 12. Thus the forthcoming flagship of Xiaomi will hit the market in less than a month. This may simply mean all the latest rumors we have heard about this device should be true.

So what we know about the next-gen Mi MIX? First, it should sport a 6-inch screen supplied by JDI. This display is going to have an unusual ratio of 18:9. It’s said the screen occupation should be above 95%. And we don’t know whether this phone will use an in-screen fingerprint sensor or it’s still in works. Apart of this, the Mi MIX 2 should come packed with a Snapdragon 835 chip found on the best Android phones such as Samsung Galaxy S8, Xiaomi Mi 6, Nubia Z17 and so on. The SoC is going to be paired with a 6+128GB memory storages as well as 8+256GB memory combination. There are also a camera with a sensor number of Sony IMX386, 3400mAh battery and Android 7.1.1 out of the box. The lower variant is rumored to come at 3999 yuan ($597), while the higher version should cost 4999 yuan ($746).
