Today Xiaomi announced it will hold a conference on May 25, where the manufacturer will unleash its next big-screen flagship dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. This smartphone is known not only for rumored features and big screen, but also for MIUI9 that should debut on it. Unfortunately, MIUI official channel has already announced the 9th-gen MIUI won’t launch along with the Mi Max 2. The expected launch date is August 16. Now when we know there is no MIUI9 event scheduled for May 25, let’s sit tight and recall the key features of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
The selling point of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is considered to be the 6.44-inch screen at Full HD resolution. But besides this there should be a Snapdragon processor (supposed v.625 or v.660), 4GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in memory, 12MP Sony IMX378 camera, and a 5000mAh battery. In comparison to the original model this one has only a few updated features. But it’s common for such models. I mean they are designed for those who preferred cheap but big-screen smartphones. Many may wonder why the manufacturer doesn’t pack it with better hardware. But let’s don’t forget there is a Mi Note series for this deal.
Well, as usual, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to come in two variants. The regular version is expected to cost as much as 1499 Yuan ($217), while the higher version should come at 1699 Yuan ($246).
