Today at noon, Xiaomi officially released
So what’s the change? When compared to the first generation of Mi Band, Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has featured an OLED display which shows date, time, heart rate, the number of steps, calorie intake etc. Like its ancestors, it still features sports pedometer, sleep monitoring, sedentary reminder, heart rate monitor (real-time monitoring), calls to remind, unlock the screen (Android system), vibration-free and secret payments alarm clock function.
In addition to the display, the Chinese manufacturer has also put some extra milliamperes in the battery. Another good thing is that it still supports IP67 grade waterproof and dustproof. Moreover, it also has the solid liner design to avoid any losing from the band itself.
Recently, Sina Technology received the first Mi Band 2. Let’s take a look at it:
No change has been made with the box of Mi Band 2. It’s still simple and small shaped as a square cardboard which is unsinkable.
After removing the upper hood of the box, we observe is the OLED display of Xiaomi Mi Band 2 fitted perfectly inside the box. The band is also found further inside the box. Now here comes another change. Unlike, the previous Mi Bands which were made of magnesium alloy material, this one is made up of glass as the screen material. The silver generation has changed to the black one.
After inserting the detector inside the bracelet, this Mi Band 2 is still the same again. The overall, appearance is not much different from the previous generation. Only the core sensors are improved along with LED glass screen.
Sadly, Xiaomi Mi Band 2 still not support a touchscreen but by touching the silver rounded button you can swipe with the contents easily. So now, you don’t have to depend on those lights and your phone to see the readings.
A similarity is again seen between both generations, in the material of the band which is the silicon. Sina technology ordered a black version of the bracelet, so the possibilities of choice colors will not rule out.
Like previously told Xiaomi Millet Band 2 supports heart rate monitoring function, Mi 1S but speaking of difference, this time, the heart rate data can be displayed directly on the screen. This is more convenient than the light-sensitive version of the phone operation.
The display shows time, record the number of steps and heart rate monitor. But when connected to the phone the readings of display, distance, calories and remaining charge. In addition, Millet Band 2 also supports lift wrist bright screen, heart sleep aid detection and so on.
Currently, the device supports two systems: Android and iOS.
Xiaomi Mi Band 2 still follows the previous generation notifications. It support calls to remind, ring in hand alarm clock, APP notification alerts, and reminders sedentary. Also, screen lock is also supported in this version.
We know that most of our readers would be concerned about the battery life of Xiaomi Mi Band 2 due to a dozen of features. So, how long could be the battery life? Sina Technology got Mi bracelet 2 and they didn’t charge for the first time after the associated phone displays “have 14 days from the last charging” the remaining charge is still above 93%. Looking at this, Xiaomi Mi Band 2 can run for months on a single charge. Well, it could be the longest running bracelet on the planet with that battery life.
