Xiaomi Mi 6 Launched Officially; Here are its Price, Features, and Specifications

The much-awaited flagship launch event of Xiaomi wherein we were expecting the launch of Mi 6 finally comes to an end and we now know the exact features, specifications, and pricing of the same.

Mi 6, the successor of Xiaomi’s previous flagship device – Mi 5 has many major upgrades and changes both in terms of its specifications, camera segment, as well as its look and feel. However, the key highlights of the device is the presence of Snapdragon 835 processor, larger 6 GB RAM, Dual Camera with Optical Zoom as seen in its predecessor and four-sided curved glass/cermaic.

As mentioned earlier, the device is powered by Snapdragon 835 10nm processor, octa-core CPU, and Adreno 540 GPU. It has 6 GB RAM and comes with multiple storage variants ranging from 64 GB to 128 GB.

In terms of looks and hold, the device has got some major changes when compared to the Mi 5 like, this time it has got a four-sided 3D curved glass. In terms of colors of the device, along with the two regular colors – Black and White; the Mi 6 also comes in a special Blue and Silver color edition that definitely looks gorgeous and stunning.

On the front, unlike we expected, the device has got large bezels and on the bottom, the device has under glass fingerprint sensor that also doubles up as a physical home button. Talking about the imaging section on the device, it comes loaded with 12 MP wide-angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens on the rear. The primary camera supports 2x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom.

The Mi 6 runs on Android 7.1.1 based operating system on top of their proprietary MIUI. It comes loaded with 3350 mAh battery which is among the highest as compared to most of the other flagship devices available in the market currently. In terms of pricing, the Mi 6 pricing ranges from RMB 2499 to RMB 2999 for the different variants as listed below.

  1. Very disappointed indeed… Where is the Plus version? Where are the super awaited innovations? My feeling is that Mi6 is not going to sell as expected and Xiaomi is going to release a Plus version of Mi6 very soon with high end capabilities… Hoping for that.

  2. xIAOMI WILL SELL LESS PHONES THAN 2016 with such devices as upper price, uncomplete 4D bands, and now, with no jack audio. I thought that could be my first Xiaomi device but now, i’m sure it’s not.
