Xiaomi earn more than $ 1 billion in India by 2016

Xiaomi announced today that it has crossed worth 1,000 billion dollars (Rs 6800 crore) revenue in India during 2016. The company was able to achieve this goal in the second year of its operations in India. The announcement comes shortly aftercompany sold over a million smartphones in 18 days. The company also said it sold more than 2 million smartphones in the third Q of 2016, an increase of 150%.

“We are really excited to announce that Xiaomi has accomplished this historic feat to record more than US $ 1 billion in sales achieved within two years we launch our operation in India. 2016 has been an incredible year for us and we were able to reach several milestones” said Manu Jain, head of Xiaomi India.
