Nokia, a name that we all remember as synonym to trust, quality and innovation is expected to launch a new line of smartphone with Android in 2017. The one that we are all interested happens to be the Nokia D1C which boasts killer specs at an amazing price of 9999 Rupees!

After a flurry of leaks about the Nokia D1C , we now know that the phone will be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2017 to be held in Barcelona, Spain.

According to reports, Nokia plans to announce two variants of the Nokia D1C with 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM priced at 9999 Rupees and 12999 Rupees respectively. All other specifications will remain the same between the two variants – a Snapdragon 430 chipset, 5-inch Full HD display and a 13+16MP camera combination.

On paper, these specs look reasonable and worthy. The magic will be in how Nokia brings together its impeccable user-friendly design and the default Android UI. One thing to note is that the D1C is expected to come with Android Nougat out of the box, so that’s one thing they’ve already done right!

At 9999 Rupees, the D1C will be in direct competition with the Redmi Note 3 and the Moto G4 – two phones that have stretched the “bang for buck” segment to its limits. It remains to be seen how Nokia will differentiate itself and carve out a space in India’s crowded budget smartphone segment. But we are definitely all eyes and ears for Nokia’s latest smartphone!

Well, it will all be clear in a couple of months, and we hope that the Nokia D1C is worth the wait!

What do you think? Does the Nokia D1C pique your curiosity? Will Nokia become a force to be reckoned with once again?
