Xiaomi started a new trend among the smartphones last year by launching the Xiaomi Mi Mix. We all know it was the Sharp Aquos Crystal (launched in 2014) that first introduced the concept of the bezel-less screen but all thanks to Xiaomi to bring the concept back after two years. It is only due to Xiaomi as all the manufacturers have now started producing devices with bezel-less displays. LG G6, Galaxy S8, iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 are the perfect examples of this.
Today, we have a new render of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, and if this comes out true, Xiaomi is surely going to revolutionize the design of smartphones. We have so far seen so called bezel-less phones that are not fully bezel-less in reality. Either the sides have negligible bezels, or there is some space on top and bottom. A full-bezel-less display means that there is nothing but just the display on the front. The new render that appeared today shows Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with a full bezel-less display with not even the front camera on the front.
So, if this design is chosen by Xiaomi, there are chances that the front camera pops up from the top. The back is a little weird, but the rear camera module seems perfect if the front camera pops out from the top as this will keep both rear and front cameras connected.
As always, this is still a render, and we don’t say that this is the actual design of the Mi Mix 2. What is your take on the design? Do let us know via the comments section.
