Huawei Mate 10 Pro to Sport 5.99-inch 2K Screen: Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Rival

Today Xiaomi announced its second-gen full-screen smartphone in face of the Mi MIX 2. This model comes with a list of enhancements in comparison to the original device. But there are a few shortcomings we’d like not to see there. First, this refers to the front camera with a 5MP sensor as well as a rear camera with a 12MP sensor. Though the front shooter comes with a ton of software enhancements and beautifying features, it’s only a 5MP lens. Even the entry-level Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A sports a larger sensor. The same can be said for the back camera as well. It uses the same IMX 386 sensor found on the Mi 6 and Mi 5X, but it’s only one. I mean the true flagships have been featuring dual-camera modules for a while. The rest of the Mi MIX 2 seems to be great. Especially this statement refers to the 2K screen at 5.99 inches. But the first manufacturer in China, Huawei is awake. Recently, it announced the first AI mobile chip in the globe, the Huawei Kirin 970. At the same time, we learned the first device to sport this amazing chip will be the Huawei Mate 10. Today we have informed this device will have two versions like its predecessor – the Huawei Mate 10 Light and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

The Huawei Mate 10 will be launched on October 16. Its two variants are codenamed as Marcel (Alps) and Blanc. The former one, the Huawei Mate 10 (Light) will sport a 5.88-inch IPS LCD display with a screen ratio of 16:9, 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal memory.

As for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, it will be the closest competitor to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. This model will come with a 5.99-inch 2K resolution screen with a ratio of 18:9, the same processor as on the lighter variant, 6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of built-in storage, 4000mAh battery, and third-gen dual-camera with Leica technology. Besides the great shooting experience brought by this optics the Huawei Mate 10 Pro camera also comes with OIS and aperture of f/1.6. Thus the night shooting and background blurring will be enhanced a lot.

Though there is almost a month before we’ll see these amazing handsets, they have been leaked in spy photos.
