The hybrid notebook manufacturer from the Chinese land had a stupendous success last year with hits such as Chuwi Hi10 and Lapbook 15.6. But the awe-inspiring Chinese company is not going to stop this year as well. Recently, we received an email from Chuwi notifying us a new product named ‘Chuwi Lapbook 12.3’ release at the end of this month. Moreover, they are officially entering the Global Sources Mobile Electronics along with their latest terminals such as Hi13 Surbook, Surbook mini, HiBox Pro, and our protagonist Lapbook 12.3. What’s so special about the flagship? Comparing with the previous releases, we came to know that this hotshot will be the top-notch of Chuwi, integrating the best hardware till date. So, probably we can expect breathtaking performance from it. So, let’s dive into the details and know the upcoming Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 better:
Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 – The Ultimate Chinese Notebook
Starting with the design, Lapbook is expected to feature one of the sleekest Chinese notebooks in the 13-inch laptops category possessing physical dimensions of 300*223*16.7mm. The notebook molds from the silver colored aluminum dock with black keyboard giving the user the premium experience for a stupendous price. The lapbook follow the same aero design from its older brothers; starting thick from the screen and ending up ultra-thin at the edges.
The hardware is the highlight of the flagship. Instead of witnessing a Full-HD screen like most of the Lapbook, the new lapbook 12.3 integrates a stunning 2K (2736 * 1824 pixels), 12.3-inch IPS screen. Luckily, there won’t be any reflection on the screen because of the 450 cd/m2 brightness on a perfect 3:2 ratio display panel.
Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 will be far better than the predecessor, thanks to 6 gigs of RAM and 64GB ROM. Also, SD slot is available to enable memory expansion to 128GB and with M2 SSD up to 256GB. The heart of the flagship seems to be a 14nm process, Quad-Core CPU named Intel Apollo lake N3450 up to 2.2 GHz. Meanwhile, Intel HD 500 with a frequency up to 700 MHz is idle for casual, moderate graphics gaming but not for the high-enders like GTA 5, Witcher 3, etc. There’s an enormous Li-polymer 36.48Wh battery under the hood with an area of 155*150*3.5mm. Hmm…That’s why the tablet is a bit cumbersome.
However, other features include a Dual Band WiFi (2.4G/5G), Intel 3165 built-in Bluetooth sensor & OCH177 magnetic sensor. The operating system isn’t confirmed. The 2 in 1 tablet will run on Windows 10 or Ubuntu.
Chuwi is yet to release. But, Gearbest tags the lapbook for $415.80 but hasn’t started to sell. It’s somewhat expensive but keeping the specs in mind; it’s the best deal. Whether the notebook will be Windows or Ubuntu will significantly affect the customers. Stay tuned for the updates on its availability, OS and price along with coupons.
